Korean Pan-Fried Tofu

Ingredients
- Extra firm tofu, 14 oz.
- Green onion, 1 stalk (optional)
- Canola oil, 1 tbs.
- Sesame seeds, 1 tbs.
- Gochujang, 1 tbs.
- Soy sauce, 1 tbs.
- Sugar, 1 tsp.
- Corn starch, 1 1/2 tsp.
- Gochugaru, 1/2 tsp.
- Water, 1/2 cup

- Measuring cup
- Frying pan
Prep
- Slice green onion
Instructions

Heat oil.

While oil is heating, pat tofu dry with paper towels.

Slice tofu into 1/2 inch slices, about 8 in total.

Fry tofu 5-7 minutes per side until golden brown.

While tofu is frying, combine sauce ingredients.

When tofu is done, pour sauce over the tofu.

Simmer the sauce until thick, ~30 seconds.

Garnish with green onion (optional).
