Korean Marinated Pork

Ingredients
- Pork (butt or loin), 1 lbs. thinly sliced
- Onion, remaining after grating, thinly sliced
- Canola oil, as needed
- Salt, to taste
Marinade
- Sugar, 1 tbs.
- Honey, 1 tbs.
- Doenjang, 1 1/2 tbs.
- Soy sauce, 1 tbs.
- Sesame oil, 1 tbs.
- Mirin, rice wine, or white wine, 2 tbs.
- Vinegar or lemon juice, 1 tsp.
- Onion, 2 tbs. grated
- Garlic, 4 cloves
- Ginger, 1 tsp. grated
- Black pepper, to taste
Sauce
- Gochujang, 1 tbs.
- Doenjang, 2 tbs.
- Sugar, 1 tsp.
- Sesame oil, 2 tsp.
- Garlic clove, 1 grated
- Water, as needed
Equipment
- Grater
- Large bowl
- Small bowl
- Frying pan
Prep
- Thinly slice pork
- Grate garlic
- Grate onion, then thinkly slice remaining
- Grate ginger
Instructions

Combine all marinade ingredients.

Add meat, mix well.

Marinate at least 30 minutes (or overnight).

Heat pan over medium high heat.

Stir fry the onions in oil, salt as needed.

Set aside onions.

Add pork and immediately lower to medium heat so the marinade doesn't burn.

Cook until cooked through and slightly caramelized, ~1-2 minutes per side. Turn over as needed to prevent burning.

Combine all the sauce ingredients in a small bowl to serve alongside the pork.
